My Dreams

We all have dreams. Remember when we were kids. No dream was too impossible for any kid. Sigh… If only we never faltered and give up on our dreams. Anyway, my dream was to work hard, start a business. Employ all the beggars, people who are poor, bankrupts, people who lost their jobs, people who were oppressed by their colleagues/bosses, the underprivileged etc… together with the help of my family and relatives building a business getting everyone rich and having a happy life. And we will all continue to recruit and help all these ‘poor’ people get rich and healthy. Sooner or later there will be no more poverty, vagrants etc…That is my dream. It’s a really big dream. Therefore I really need lots of help. So if you are willing to step up and join me in my cause, contact me and together we help the world one step at a time. People must remember that there is always hope. There are other people out there, like me, who is willing to help. All you need to do is look. It saddens me when I read about poverty or people give up and taking their lives because they lost hope. Don’t you want to prove your critics, people who oppressed you and people who ridiculed you wrong. You can become successful and rich. Better than them. What’s stopping you? It’s you - yourself. You can take charge of your life and your future. You have the power in you to do it. Why let them control you? You’re not a puppet, their puppet. So get out of their stranglehold and say out loud, “Enough! Enough already! I will take charge of my life now! This very moment!” I too was ridiculed, criticized and look down upon by many. These are the things that I really want to do before I depart from this world. I want to contribute to all mankind before I go…. I really get very passionate when I talk about my dreams. Excuse me for that.

JOBs. The Rat Race.

After school and doing whatever best job you can get, you try to continue to upgrade, put in extra hours to get ahead of your colleagues to move up the ladder. Ask yourself, why do we do that? I wanted to do that to get into a higher level to get the so called easier life and better pay. Remember this ‘EASIER LIFE, MORE MONEY’ Isn’t it the ultimate aim of everyone? Don’t you want it? Are you working hard so that you’ll get it? Mum always tell me, “You have no choice. You want money? You want a better future? Like it or not, you got to do whatever job that pays well or have better career prospects” I will always argue with her. I have always believed that the future can’t be that bad. I should be able to land myself a job that I like doing, get paid well and gets easier as I move up. Duh! Reality check. That was only a dream. I would really have to work very hard, get lucky breaks, study for another 10 years to get a Degree, MBA …. Where am I going to get all that money from for all these? My brain was getting tired from all the continued studying over the years just to get some Diplomas. My body is getting tired from all the work, overtime, learning & studying and exams. When will this end? I was really tired everyday. Are you experiencing the same thing? It then dawn upon me that getting to the top is not that easy. Everyone is doing what I’m doing. Some of my company I worked for hired someone from outside the organization instead of promoting from within. Do your sums here. For every department, how many employees are there? They are all waiting for a chance to get promoted when the department head resigns, retires, gets promoted or retrenched. If you are the head, you will want to move further up or stay there for as long as you can. So what are the chances of all the employees? Very slim. Maybe 1 or 2 will get promoted. The rest will reach retirement without realizing their career aspirations. Job hopping will not help much too. Wake up NOW! Get out of the Rat Race. Like a race there will be only 1 winner and lots of losers. Please! I beg of you. For your sake and your family get out of the Rat Race, unless you are 110% sure you win the race. It might be too late when some people realize that their dreams will never come true. They will be too old to challenge the younger and energetic ones. You will have to work for the rest of your miserable lives just to survive. And what do we teach our children? What we’re doing now. 100% failure. I got retrenched after working faithfully for 5 years. My spouse got retrenched twice. Can’t blame the company. It’s you or the survival of the company. You will surely choose the latter if you were the owner of the company.
