Why so secretive? Why can’t you just answer all my questions?
Let me throw back a question. Do all business men sit around all day long waiting to answer all queries and can any business be done by just doing that? The answer is a definitely no. Business people don’t sit around waiting answering queries. It will be a waste of time. They’re out there looking for business. Time is limited and precious. They can’t just answer all queries. There are hundreds and thousands people with queries. The business person can’t entertain everyone, so he has time to only to talk to the really potential serious ones. There will be a selection process before he really gets down to the potential few that he can spend time to seriously talk to. Just like applying for a job, the candidate fills up the job application form and attaches a resume to it. The company will then sift through all the forms and select some potential job applicant to go for 1 or a few rounds of interview. There’s where the manager will have time to really sit down and ‘talk’ to the potential candidates and choose the most suitable one for the company. Mind you, this is a process for just an employee. If the position for hire is of a higher one, the selection will be more stringent. The business men don’t just pick anyone and everyone to join him to do business. In this industry, he will have to be very sure if you are the right person to work with for many years to come. Will you be the one worth spending time, money and effort to be groomed into one business man? Will you be an asset or a liability to him? No point answering all the queries, talking about the business for an hour and finding out that you may not want to do it or are not suitable for the position at the end of it. And that is just one person. What about the other hundreds and thousands more? There’s simply no time unless you prove you are worth the time talking to at a later stage of the selection. Reality check, not everyone’s cut out to do business.
